Blake trusted in Christ at the age of fifteen through the ministry of a church in south Austin. However, it was as a freshman at Southwest Texas State in San Marcos, through his involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ, that he learned what it truly meant to walk with God. It was at SWT that he met his beautiful wife Mary, who was also a freshman involved with Crusade. They have been married now for 9 years and have four wonderful children: Aiden (5), Gracen (4), Grier (2), and Evan (1). |
In Austin he worked for a year at Hill Country Bible NW and then went on to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. During that time Blake served in various internships which included responsibilities with youth ministry, small groups and outreach, as well as teaching theology classes for local pastors and lay ministry leaders.
Blake and Mary began attending HCB RR in July of 2009 and currently serve in Children’s Ministry and lead a REALife Group.
In their free time Blake and Mary like to watch movies, listen to music, read, relax at home, go on dates with their kids and date one another. They are tremendously excited about being a part of HCB RR and although they’ve been here for only a short time, they feel right at home. They look forward to the things God will do through their lives and ministry here.
