Gary Heer, Elder

Gary grew up in a small town in northeast Colorado where his parents raised him in a Christ-centered home and he put his trust in Christ as a child. Gary and Gennae moved to Round Rock in 2007 from Colorado and started attending Hill Country Bible Round Rock on the first Sunday of the church. Over the past two years they have served together in children's ministry and on the finance team. Gary also has the privilege of serving as the church Treasurer. Gary and Gennae have been married for 5 years. They have three children: Bryan - 14; Grant - 4 and Reagan - 2. Gary works for Activant Solutions as a Senior Accounting Manager. |
God grew Gary and Gennae’s faith in the past year when Gary was unemployed for five months. During this time they were unsure why God had brought them to Texas only to be without a job less than two years later. Through this trial they experienced God’s faithfulness to provide and care for them. God used the church to encourage and lift them up in prayer during this time, which confirmed their desire to remain in Round Rock. Gary and Gennae are excited to see what God is doing through the church to reach the city with the gospel, and to be a part of such a faithful body of believers.
