Greg was raised in an evangelical home in southern California, where he made a profession of faith at an early age. It wasn’t until his second semester of college that he began to understand the reality of Christ’s sacrifice on his behalf, and his walk with God began in earnest. |
The Meece’s attended HCBC NW for 7 years (working with the High School ministry and leading a Real Life Group) before helping to launch HCBC UT (teaching theology and apologetics, as well as leading a college small group), where they stayed for over 2 years. They began attending HCBC RR just two months after it began, and have been hooked ever since. During their time at Round Rock, they have lead Real Life Groups and Greg has done some RLG coaching, assisted with the facilities team, helped with children’s ministries, served on the worship team, and Greg has been a guest teacher in our middle and high school groups.
Greg and Kathryn met at Baylor University and were married over 28 years ago. They have four children – Jeremy (26), Nathan (25), Ben (20), and Deborah (16). Greg works as a Software Quality Assurance engineer at Transverse LLC in downtown Austin, and Kathryn works as a nurse with at-risk first time moms with Any Baby Can in the greater Austin area. They enjoy walking together, taking road trips, and trying to keep their Netflix queue down to a reasonable size.
