Marcus' military family settled in South Austin when he was five. At 12
years old, Marcus one night dreamt he would be a pastor.  At the time he laughed at the idea, but at 17 years old the Lord took a hold of his heart and Marcus began to live out his faith in a dramatic way. In 2005, he completed his Bachelors in Religion and Philosophy at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and moved back to Austin, TX.

While in his senior year at Oklahoma Wesleyan he met Sarah. They married in July 2007 and settled in North Austin for a year before purchasing a home in Round Rock. Marcus worked as a Banker and Financial Advisor for three years while serving as Associate Teaching Pastor for the Youth Ministry at their church.

In September of 2010 Marcus and Sarah moved into Austin to complete Hill Country Bible Church's church-planting residency program with Hill Country Bible-Round Rock. The Lord willing, they will be planted in the Mueller Redevelopment area of Austin in September of 2011.
