REALIFE FAQ
A Realife group is a small group of 8 to 20 people who meet weekly in homes for the purpose of connecting intentionally with others in our church family in order to grow spiritually. Groups meet all over the city and almost every night of the week. Individual leaders (we call them shepherds) guide the group through a Bible-based study each semester.
(2) Why should I attend a Realife-group?
We believe that spiritual growth occurs most effectively in the context of community. As our church gets larger, staying connected to everyone gets harder. Each of us needs to get connected to a Realife-group in order to build healthy relationships with others in the church. On top of that, groups provide the perfect environment to get help in our walk with Jesus Christ.
(3) What happens at a Realife-group?
Groups tend to meet from 1.5 to 2.0 hours during the week, some starting with a meal, others just jumping right into the study. Groups that have children provide childcare for the kids (which the church pays for). Group-time tends to be very relational and fun, with a focus on studying the Bible together and helping each other take the next step in spiritual development. We focus our activity on four S's: Sharing life, Serving together, Studying God's Word, and Supporting each other.
(4) How do I sign-up for a Realife-group?
We have two easy ways to get connected to a small-group at Hill Country Bible. First, you can sign-up on the communication-card during the service. Second, you can sign-up online at our small group website. Don't hesitate to give us a call at 255.9977 or send us an email at if you have any problems getting connected to a group.
